America East Basketball Media Day 2025: Men's and Women's Teams Preview (2025)

America East Partners with The Field of 68 for #AEHoops Day on Oct. 20

BOSTON – The America East Conference is joining forces with The Field of 68 once again in 2025 to bring you the annual men’s and women’s basketball Media Day, live-streamed on Monday, October 20th. The men’s media day will kick off at 9 a.m., while the women’s will commence at 1 p.m.

The men’s basketball media day will be hosted by the dynamic duo of Jeff Goodman and Rob Dauster, renowned national college basketball writers and founders of The Field of 68 (https://www.thefieldof68.com/). They will unveil and dissect the conference's preseason poll and all-conference team at 9 a.m., followed by engaging interviews with all nine men’s basketball head coaches. The women’s basketball media day will begin at 1 p.m. and be hosted by Brendan Glasheen and Maureen Magarity. They will release the preseason poll and all-conference teams at 1 p.m., followed by insightful conversations with each of the league's nine head coaches. Glasheen, a former America East broadcaster and the current voice of the Connecticut Sun, will join forces with Magarity, a former Coach of the Year in both the America East and the Patriot League. Magarity recently led Holy Cross to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in 2023 and 2024. The #AEHoops regular season tips off on November 3, with 13 of 18 men’s and women’s programs competing on opening night. All home games for America East schools will be broadcast on AE on ESPN domestically and then AmericaEast.tv for international viewers.

Conference action begins on Thursday, January 1, with a full slate of women’s basketball, including the defending champion Vermont facing UAlbany in a championship rematch. The men start on January 3, with the defending champion Bryant traveling to face Maine in another championship rematch. Teams will battle for home advantage in the 2025 #AEPlayoffs, where all games will again be played at the higher seed.

The women's regular season concludes on Saturday, February 28, with #AEPlayoffs Quarterfinal action on Thursday, March 5. The Semifinals will take place on Monday, March 9, and the #AEPlayoffs Championship will be held on Friday, March 13, at 5 p.m., at the highest remaining seed.

The men’s regular season ends on Tuesday, March 3, with the top eight programs advancing to the #AEPlayoffs Quarterfinals on Saturday, March 7. Semifinal action follows on Tuesday, March 10, and the winners will progress to the Championship at the highest remaining seed on Saturday, March 14, at 11 a.m.
