Big Brother: 7 Reasons Big Meech Should Have Been An All-Star (& 3 She Shouldn't) (2024)

The second All-Stars season of Big Brother is also the most unique. Taking place during the COVID-19 pandemic, the houseguests had to go through stringent testing before being allowed to participate, including multiple tests to ensure they were not carrying the virus.

A total of 16 former players entered the house, including two people who had won before and several others who finished everywhere from second to dead last. And while there were some fan favorites, there were other players noticeably missing. Beyond the obvious, one former player who might have made for a pretty intense and entertaining season was Michelle Meyer, a.k.a. Big Meech.

Should Have: She Would Have Been Another Ally For Da'Vonne

In her season, Big Meech was playing a pretty quiet game until she was blindsided by her ally Da'Vonne being evicted. Already having worked together and being presumed friends, Big Meech could have been a third person in Da'Vonne and Bayleigh's alliance, giving them more strength in numbers and creating a much stronger alliance to fight The Committee.

If this was the case, the trio could have flipped the script in the house and potentially have forged a dominant alliance with the help of Kaysar and Janelle.

Should Have: She Had Beef With Nicole

There's nothing better in the Big Brother house than drama, and Meech could have brought a lot of it. She was targeted in her season by none another than Nicole F., who is on the All-Stars season and a member of the dominant alliance.

Big Meech would have been an ally for Janelle, teaming up to get Nicole out of the house. Back on her season, Big Meech referred to Nicole as a snake and said she felt Nicole betrayed her by lying about Da'Vonne's fate. And Janelle was very vocal about how she did not like Nicole.

Shouldn't:She Cries Too Much

Big Meech is mostly remembered for crying. All the time. At everything. She was one of the most emotional players in Big Brother history, if not the most emotional.

This season already has another emotional player in Nicole, so there isn't room for both of them. The show would just involve lots of consoling of both of them as they spiraled from paranoia and emotional responses to backstabs and betrayals.

Should Have: She Could Have a Cry Off

Nicole F. is known for crying all the time in the house and playing too emotionally. Big Meech, of course, garnered the same reputation on her season, crying uncontrollably about so many things.

And while putting these two together could simply have viewers rolling their eyes in annoyance, it could actually be funny, too. She could have posed some serious competition in the house for the biggest crier and put a damper on Nicole's game since she wouldn't get as much attention for her nonsensical crying.

Should Have: She Knows How To Give An Eviction Speech

Sometimes, it's what a houseguest says (or does) on their way out that can truly impact the game. And there have been some epic eviction speeches over the years, Big Meech's being one of them.

She called out both Paulie and Nicole at the eviction ceremony and even called Victor a butt-kisser on her way out. But the best move? She also took Paul's blow-up pelican on her way out, knowing that he had become very attached to it. It was her final dig to those who sent her packing.

Shouldn't: She Wasn't Good At Competitions

Assuming Big Meech would have been on the non-dominant side of the house given her friendship with Da'Vonne and hatred of Nicole, she wouldn't have offered much help. What that side really needs is someone who's good at competitions.

They are getting clobbered by competition beasts like Cody, Memphis, Dani, and Tyler, who keep on winning. Someone who can actually win against these guys is who would have changed things and Big Meech is not that person.

Shoulder Have: She Cleverly Makes Up Stories

Big Brother: 7 Reasons Big Meech Should Have Been An All-Star (& 3 She Shouldn't) (7)

Big Meech made up a story that Dan Gheesling was her cousin-in-law. It isn't true at all. She just said that to try to make people in the house paranoid. It was a little white lie and was so simple but also brilliant.

Meech has confirmed in interviews that there is no truth to that story, though she says that Dan does live less than an hour away from her.

Should Have: She Has Fish To Fry

Big Meech has noted that she was totally blindsided by her eviction because she was certain that Nicole and Corey viewed Paul as the bigger threat. Little did she know, of course, that they had secretly teamed up with Paul.

Being sent packing so early, in seventh place, and seemingly by people she was working with, Big Meech definitely has something to prove in the house. Not only that, but everyone would know she was laser-focused on Nicole which means she wouldn't be viewed as a threat.

Should Have: She's A Superfan

There are many ways that houseguests are chosen for the show. And a handful of them are actual superfans. One such player was Big Meech, a self-professed superfan of the show who had seen every season and studied the ways of the game.

She has a true passion and appreciation for the game, and it's important to have people like that on the show who respect real gameplay and aren't just there for the exposure or money.

Shouldn't: She Isn't That Memorable

Big Brother: 7 Reasons Big Meech Should Have Been An All-Star (& 3 She Shouldn't) (10)

Among the many All-Stars who weren't chosen as returning players for this season (or weren't interested in participating), Big Meech is low on the list of ones who fans wanted to see. She wasn't a particularly memorable player and even annoyed some fans, mostly due to her excessive crying.

Sure, she might have been better than some of the other players who were chosen for the season but there are plenty of other people show producers could have considered.
