Bill Belichick is looking for his next home in the NFL. After 24 season in Foxborough, the legendary head coach and the New England Patriots agreed to part ways on Jan. 11, ending his historic tenure with the organization that resulted in all six of the franchise's Super Bowl titles. Now, all eyes are on the future Hall of Fame coach to see where the next chapter of his career will take him.

One thing we know for sure is that Belichick isn't looking to retire. After all, he's only 14 wins shy of tying Don Shula for the all-time wins record for a head coach and all indications from his farewell presser out of Gillette Stadium pointed to his coaching career continuing. Where that will be is the key story.

Currently, there are six head coach openings in the NFL. The Atlanta Falcons have been a popular landing spot for him and the two sides even had a formal interview about the possibility of a pairing, so that situation is very much worth monitoring. Especially in the wake of CBS Sports NFL Insider's Jonathan Jones reporting that Belichick will have a second in-person interview with Atlanta, which will include owner Arthur Blank, CEO Rich McKay, president Greg Beadles, and general manager Terry Fontenot. However, an NBC Sports report also notes that multiple clubs are considering a run at Belichick, including one that doesn't currently have a vacancy.

CBS Sports will be here to update this story with the latest developments around Bill Belichick's coaching future as they become available.

Multiple teams considering a run at Belichick

According to NBC Sports, multiple teams are "quietly considering" making a run at Belichick, and that includes a franchise that currently doesn't have a vacancy. The report also notes that many around the league view Belichick as the front-runner for the Falcons jobs, but Atlanta is still is undergoing a wide open search.

While the Panthers, Chargers, Seahawks, Titans and Commanders all still have openings along with the Falcons, it is fascinating to speculate who the other team that is mulling a pursuit of Belichick is. Could it be the Eagles? Nick Sirianni's seat was particularly warm following a collapse down the stretch that saw Philadelphia bounced from the playoffs on Super Wild Card Weekend.

Belichick will have competition for the Falcons' job. Atlanta recently completed an interview with Jim Harbaugh, who has also interviewed with the Chargers.

As everyone knows, BB's name has been linked with the Cowboys ever since Dallas' loss to the Packers on Super Wild Card Weekend. But as long as Mike McCarthy is still coach, this is purely speculation.
