San Francisco, CA- Fine art bodypainter Trina Merry and her ART ALIVE Gallery team created three bodypainted human motorcycles to promote the International Motorcycle Roadshow tour starting November 2^nd. Through teamwork, they pushed through impossibility together to create a cutting-edge work of art. It is one of the most ambitious and highly inventive bodypaintings ever created. This creative team invented living human Transformers- a Sport Bike, Dirt Bike & Cruiser- that can breathe, move & even be tickled.

While bodypaint has gained popularity in the media over the last twenty years through Sports Illustrated Magazine, Demi Moore’s famous Vanity Fair cover and the recent success of Goteye’s music video “ Somebody I Used to Know”, the Art Alive Gallery team has pushed the boundaries & invented something fresh with their Human Motorcycle Project.

Erin Bates, motor cross celebrity, was the featured rider of the human motorcycle made up of circus performers, yoga instructors, dancers & models from the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Art Alive Gallery is an installation and performance troupe devoted to sharing fine art bodypaint. They are located in the San Francisco Bay Area and travel nationally. They bring works from the San Jose Museum of Art’s permanent collection to life with a bodypaint installation October 13^th, 2012.

Graffiti Body Art is a ‘Raw’ urban art form that has spread to all corners of the world. The ‘hollow leg’ image above went viral earlier this year, but with no credit attached to this it was thought to have been a photo-shopped image. However we can confirm this is not the case. The 3D Carved leg was created by Russian Graffiti artist, Znag. Wehave been in touch with Znag who has sent us some more photos of his impressive 3D work.

‘Marvels of Nature’is the name ofEmma Fay’s stunning series of Body painted Human Animals. To create these fantastic looking designs Emma teamed up with Contortionist models Beth Sykes and Lowri Thomas and photographer Jonathan Macauley. The images, particularity the Human Giraffe have had worldwide coverage after being published on many of the global news and image sites. UK readers may have seen Emma’s Spider Bodypainting on the Popular UK ITV Daytime TV show’ The Paul O’Grady Show’ on 9th May 2014 where the spider made a crawling entrance on to the show.
