Hello,
Just wanted to know if the pass is worth it?
Do you use it as much as you thought you were?
any info would be great...Thinking about buying one for our trip in December.
Also if we buy it in December it expires in December when we purchased it, right?
Thanks again!

Your pass will expire one year from the day you purchase it. As far as is it worth it, that depends on how many times you use it. Me personally, I have gotten way more than my money's worth of mine. I go for several weeks over the summer and then go on an average of one weekend a month, so sure, mine is well worth the money. I have the regular annual pass, no blackouts and no water parks.. just the 4 park pass.. I love it..
I live 3 hours from the parks if that helps you in deciding.. I cannot do it in a day and drive home.

I have been a pass holder for years and use it in the summer 12 days, Christmas 5 days and every other month for 3 or 4 days. I live in fort lauderdale. It takes us about 3 hrs. to get there. The discounts for the hotels are pretty good. We also get the Tiw card for all of our TS meals and drinks.

It is worth it for us as we live about 15 mins from WDW Property! We usually visit 1-2 a week for just a few hours at a time. We really enjoy the discounts on merchandise as well as getting a discounted TIW card! We have easily paid for the TIW in savings already and probably saved close to the same in AP discounts (we buy a lot of presents for people on property though....)
It's only worth it if you are going to use it! Do you intend on spending more than 10 days at Disney in those 365 days? Then, I would say, yeah it's worth it!

If I lived closer I would have the full annual pass, but living in South Florida I do fine with the Seasonal pass.I also have the preferred Universal annual pass and the Platinum pass for all the Sea World/Busch parks.I used to do more trips per year, maybe like 12-16 but now I do like 8-10 staying more days than I used to.Eventually one day I hope to move to Central Florida and then I'll get the full annual along with a waterpark annual pass.

We love ours, and with as crazy as this year has been, we've completely underutilized it, but it's still worth it. We live an hour away, however, so that's part of the fun.
We ran the numbers, a lot, before we bought into it. Dd and I have regular AP's (so we can go in the summer and parking is free) but my bf only has a seasonal pass. He won't ever go alone (so he doesn't have to worry about parking) and he works a lot, so he isn't able to go as often as we are. If I ever get my hw done, I was thinking about going this weekend. I love the option of going whenever I want.
I think a bonus too, if you don't want to shell out the money ahead of time, is the option of doing the monthly payment plan. I can't believe how long it took Disney to get it to ... but it's a great feature.

We live a tad bit over 3 hrs away and do the season pass. We don't go at Xmas, spring break, or summer so that is more than enough for us, go about 4 times per yr....usually 5-8days at a time...also love the tiw card!

We live only five miles from the welcome sign about 1 mile from World Drive - we use it all the time. We scooted over on DH's lunch break for lunch at tTony's yesterday! Totally worth it.

If you're planning 2 or more week long trips during that period, its worth it. Example: 1 adult, parkhopper, 5 day pass is $334.00. Do two trips, its pretty much paid for
I live in Canada & have the premium annual pass for dlr & wdw and its paid for itself more than twice now!

It expires one year from activation date not purchase date.
I think its worth it, me & my sister have seasonal passes. We go at least once a month, when our pass has valid dates. We live over in Clearwater. It takes us about an hour to get there. Sometimes we set out early to make rope drop & spend the whole day there. Other times we just go for half a day. Depends how we feel & what we want to do.

This year is the first time we got it and after doing the math we figured out its the best option for us we live in ft Myers roughly 3-3 1/2 hours away (unless i speed then can make it in just over 2) good thing i don't speed tho . we usually go for a week but since we are doing the passes we have a 4 day trip and then a week trip but since we have the passes i hope we can go more.
I say if you can swing it financially go for it the payment plan is awesome and honestly the only way we could do it

I totally agree on that one but i usually leave at three in the morning that way DD and DH can sleep while i drive and there is not much traffic at all plus if they are sleeping i don't have to deal with my seat being kicked every two seconds and the radio being changed in the middle of a good song!!!

We live 1 hour from WDW. We have the regular annual passes and we LOVE them. We are a family of 7 so it is a big investment, but honestly it isn't that bad because we use the monthly payment option so we consider it part of our entertainment budget. We were going every single weekend during the winter and spring. We love having the free parking and the discounts. We also purchased Tables in Wonderland which saves us tons of money on food. If you want to see all your options for the different passes available and the costs, including payment amounts for the payment plan, I have a post in my blog about it. See the link in my signature.

I'm on the other coast of Florida and it's also around 3.5 hours,I however have never left at 3am,it'll totally kill me for that day and I wouldn't be able to do anything,I get up around 4-4:30 and leave around 5:15-5:30.

The way I see it, if you can make it to the parks at least twice a month, the pass pays for itself because it covers parking. The merchandise and dining discounts are great, and sometimes you get to participate in special events for annual pass holders only. I used to blow my money on multi-day tickets, and realized I was spending a fortune! Plus there were times where I really wanted to go to the park and couldn't because I just used up my last day and didn't have enough money for another pass. I only live an hour away, sometimes I go out to DAK just to ride Expedition Everest a couple times and go home!

I live very near WDW so it is very worth it for me - I often just go for a couple of hours, for fireworks, shopping, meals etc. I am sure I have been over a 100 times in the past 6 months.
That said I think it would be worth it for me even if I only went a few times a month.
