Threaded Heart Card
Supplies
- Blank card
- Thread or string
- Needle
- Awl or toothpick
- Pencil
- Tape
- Scissors
Steps
- Use a pencil to draw or trace a heart on to the front of the card. (A cookie cutter makes a great template!)
- Unfold the card and place it on top of a scrap piece of cardboard.
- Use an awl, toothpick, or other sharp tool to poke evenly spaced holes along the pencil line.
- Erase the pencil line.
- Thread the needle. Starting at the top hole, insert the needle from the back of the card.
- Use a piece of tape to secure the loose end on the back.
- Flip the card over again and thread the needle through the hole at the opposite end of the heart.
- Keep threading, moving the needle over one hole at a time on the back.
- Continue until you’ve sewn through all the holes.
- Cut the thread and use another piece of tape to secure on the back.
