Don't daiquiris make you just want to jump on a boat and go on a cruise somewhere?

Or at least some kind of tropical vacation where you sit on the beach all day and miraculously forget you have a job or responsibilities or a driveway to shovel back home.

So, how about jumping on a plane and heading to a beach where there's a cabana boy who mostly stays out of your way until he sees that a) you need your umbrella raised and b) your glass is empty.

That's more like it. Siiiiigh. Let's go now.

OK fine, a daiquiri at home will definitely take second place to a full-on tropical vacation. And I speak from experience when I say it's tough to find a good strawberry banana daiquiri.

Sure, you can get a plain old strawberry one. You can also get a Pina Colada. And even often a "Miami Vice" (alright, yes, those are pretty tasty and fun looking). But I've been told no to my order of a strawberry banana daiquiri on more than one occasion.

It all stops here, friends. I'm living on my own terms. I can't be the only one who loves that strawberry banana combination, right?

In my original recipe, I used a bottle of Bacardi Light Strawberry Daiquiri that the brand sent me. Obviously a daiquiri is really easy to make with a mixer!

But daiquiris are also really easy to make from scratch and that's why I'm also sharing this easy frozen strawberry banana daiquiri recipe with you now.

All my strawberry banana dreams can now come true in my very own kitchen. Cabana boys need not apply. I got my own blender, yo!

Ingredients

For this strawberry banana daiquiri, you'll need:

  • Ice
  • Light Rum
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Orange Juice
  • Strawberries
  • Banana

If you do have the Bacardi strawberry mixer (or any rum-based strawberry mixer), you can use that instead of the rum and sugar.

How to Make a Strawberry Banana Daiquiri

Step one: Throw all ingredients in a blender and blend.

Step 2: DRINK!

Yup, that's all you have to do.

Well, you may want to pour the drink in a glass first.

But if you live alone and nobody will find out, you don't have to. I'd probably do the same. You're in a no judgement zone here, friend.

A little strawberry and banana garnish may help contribute to giving you that island feel.

And a fun straw.

And hopefully a nice hot summer day! Though I wouldn't argue with you if you made this strawberry banana daiquiri to enjoy by your fireplace in the middle of winter!

You have no idea how happy I was to sip on this frozen tropical drink. Especially knowing it didn't contain a bajillion calories and wasn't all syrupy sweet.

A strawberry banana daiquiri made with fresh strawberries and bananas? Amazing!

I'd also totally pour that Bacardi over rocks and sip on that, too. Isn't summertime the absolute best?

No matter how you choose to make this drink, one thing is for sure... You're gonna want to cancel all your plans, sit in the sun all day, and forget you have a job or any other responsibilities.

What's your favorite kind of daiquiri? Favorite place to drink them?

Pass the sunscreen and let's hop on a jet plane! These definitely transport me somewhere tropical. I'm reading this at 9 am, but it's 5 o'clock somewhere, right?

Ohhh that is lovely! I love the low-cal co*cktails (Skinnygirl is SO GOOD) but not the lack of buzz... I know getting drunk shouldn't be the first concern, but if I'm hanging out with friends and drinking socially and it takes me triple the time to feel anything, I'm ingesting all those calories I saved. I dunno. But I certainly will check this out, I LOVE daiquiris regardless!

I have the day off and I'm thinking that I need to swing by the store and pick up a few items to make this drink... won't people be jealous to know I'm lounging by the pool, sipping this lovely drink, while they are slaving away at the office!!! 🙂

This looks delicious. I'll have to make 2 batches, though. One batch without alcohol because I will never convince my toddler that "this drink is for mommies and daddies!"

Just made a variation on this. I used a whole frozen banana and about a cup of frozen strawberries (halved), half a cup or so of fresh pineapple maybe half an ounce of pineapple juice from the pineapple an ounce of oh and a mix of coconut rum, dark rum, and vodka. No added sugar. It's PERFECT

Super tasty, easy to make, and very refreshing! I added in a full banana and a little extra sugar and it still turned out great! Would definitely recommend! I made these for my grandfather and great grandfather and they couldn’t put the drink down! 12/10 would make again!(:
